# Flute layout calculator

Modes in the live tool ([make.html](make.html)):

1. **Bamboo bansuri** — side-blown; cork + mouth hole; 6 fingers + optional pancham  
2. **PVC bansuri** — same craft hole %; Schedule-40 bores; end cap; **never heat PVC**  
3. **Murali** — end-blown fipple; marks from labium/window; 6 holes; voicing first  
4. **Carnatic venu** — side-blown; **8 finger holes**; Sa = top **two** closed  

Bansuri Sa on this site = top **three** closed. Venu is different — see [venu](venu.html).
