# Learn Guitar — Chord dictionary

No jazz extensions in v1. The neck view marks the **root** with a square and other chord tones with circles. The **letter in the mark** is the note; the **number under it** is the suggested left-hand finger (1 index–4 pinky).

## Sevenths

Dominant 7ths pull to the chord a fourth above. Minor 7ths are the same minor with one finger lifted. Hal Leonard Book 1/2 — not a jazz vocabulary.

## Three tracks

- **Beginner** — look up the first six, then A and Dm. Find the root (the square).
- **Intermediate** — add the six dominant 7ths and Em7 / Am7. Compare G to G7.
- **Advanced** — from a random letter, find the shape and the root in one glance. Name the 7th that pulls toward it (G ← D7, C ← G7).
