# Learn Guitar — Kids

Four chords. One downstrum. Two songs. No barre chords here.

Sit tall. Guitar on your right leg. Left hand on the neck. Right hand brushes the strings toward the floor. On the HTML page, click a picture to hear it. Numbers on the dots are fingers: 1 pointer, 2 middle, 3 ring, 4 pinky.

## Em, G, C, D

Tap a picture. Make every string ring. Slow is good.

## Down, down, down

Hold **Em**. Brush all the strings toward the floor four times. Count **1 2 3 4**. Then try G, then C, then D.

## Song 1 — Ghar (home)

An original campfire loop. Not a radio song. Four chords, one change each: **G · C · D · G**. Home, away, away-more, home.

Say the letter before you strum. If it is too high or too low for a singer, put a **capo** on fret 2 and keep the same pictures.

## Song 2 — Four-chord

The same four letters grown-ups use for lots of famous songs. We only play the chords — no tune, no words. **G · D · Em · C**.
