Pick bass strings; middle finger (m) and ring finger (a) pluck treble. Related: [Fingerstyle](fingerstyle.md) (all fingers), [Loop cells · hybrid open](warmups.md#hybrid).

## Lessons

1. **Bass pick + open G** — pick (muted) A, m on open G, pick D 2, m on G.
2. **Am seed** — pick A 7, m on high e 5. Loop on the click.
3. **Bass moves, Am to C** — same right hand; the bass moves from A 0 to A 3.
4. **Boom-chick** — hold Am: pick the root (A 0), pinch B 1 + e 0 with m and a, pick the fifth (low E 0), pinch again.
5. **Skip a string** — pick D 7, m on high e 5, B silent.
6. **Arpeggio outline** — pick A 7, m on B 5, m on e 5.
7. **Pinch** — G chord: pick low E 3 while m and a pluck B 0 + e 3, then pick G and D, then fingers alone.
8. **Alternating bass on C** — pick alternates A 3 and D 2 in eighths; m and a fill B 1, e 0 and G 0 on the off-beats.
9. **Sixths in G** — pick on G string, m on high e, together: 0/0, 2/2, 4/3, 5/5, 7/7, 9/8, 11/10, 12/12. Same fret = major sixth; high e one lower = minor sixth.

## Ready when

- Lessons 2 and 5 at 100 bpm in eighths, plucked note as loud as the picked one.
- Boom-chick and the G pinch looped for a minute without the pick drifting.
- Alternating bass on C steady while the fingers come and go.
- G major in sixths, both notes together, no B string noise.
