Sanskrit, in depth
The words
| Word | Grammar | Sense |
|---|---|---|
| rājagṛhabhojanādiṣu (राजगृहभोजनादिषु) | locative plural, neuter | in a meal at a king's house, and in things of that sort. rājan (राजन्) is a king. gṛha (गृह) is a house. bhojana (भोजन) is eating. ādi (आदि) is the rest. Read from the end. |
| tathā (तथा) | indeclinable | in that same way. Recited joined to the next word: ā (आ) plus e becomes ai. |
| eva (एव) | indeclinable | just. |
| dṛṣṭatvāt (दृष्टत्वात्) | ablative singular, neuter | because of the state of having been seen. The ablative is the reason. From dṛś (दृश्). |
The phrases
The locative is where the same relation has been seen. tathā (तथा) eva points back to the claim that she is herself the fruit. The ablative makes that sight the reason.
Sanskrit in this line
tathā (तथा) plus eva is tathaiva. The compound is one locative plural. dṛṣṭa (दृष्ट) plus tva is the ablative dṛṣṭatvāt (दृष्टत्वात्), with a single t.
