Where it sits

The stops that follow are divided so that a name can take the voiced ones without the unvoiced, or the aspirates without the rest. That division is the next four beats.

Split: ña (ञ) + ma (म) + ṅa (ङ) + ṇa (ण) + na (न) + m (म्)

The phrases

Five nasals, then a marker. ñam (ञम्) is those five: ña ma ṅa ṇa na (ञ म ङ ण न). The order is the order of this beat, not the order of the mouth from the throat outward.

Sanskrit in this line

The marker m (म्) is a halant. The letter ma (म) earlier in the same beat keeps its a (अ). They are not the same sign.
