Ear training
A short melody, then the same melody again. One note may have changed.
Your microphone listens while you sing. The tonic is played first, and the drone is switched off so the microphone hears only you.
You hear the tonic first, as a reference, then the note. Sing only the note; there is no need to sing the tonic yourself (if you do, it does no harm). Any octave counts, and about half a semitone either way is close enough. Headphones help, so the microphone does not hear the speaker.

Which notes can come up
Tap a note to add or remove it — tapping one on plays it, so you can build a pool by ear. These are the notes the quiz draws from, not your answers.

The ladder always plays rounds of ten and ignores the range setting. Free practice uses the notes, range and round length you set here. Your levels and misses are kept in this browser only.
Names and question
The note names (Sa Re Ga, C D E, Do Re Mi) are chosen beside the tonic above the quiz. Intervals name the distance instead (Major 3rd, Perfect 5th).
Real room samples where they exist (harmonium, piano, guitar, ukulele); synth otherwise. Theory: Eastern · Western · East ↔ West
