Lesson 69: Speech

Index · Lesson 68: The Mind · Lesson 70: The Direction

वाक् means “speech,” or “a word said aloud.” It is feminine. The subject is वाक्, with no visarga. The object is वाचम्. The with-form is वाचा. The in-form is वाचि.

Before a voiced consonant, speech often says वाग्. This book writes वाक् when the next word starts with a vowel or with क, ख, प, फ, श, ष, or स. The sentences below are chosen so वाक् stays.
