Materials
These are what a thing is made of. सुवर्णम् means gold, सुन. It is like पुस्तकम्. A thing made of it takes the adjective when you have one. The sentences use the material as the thing itself.

| सुवर्णं पीतम् अस्ति। | Gold is yellow. सुन पहेँलो छ। सुवर्णम् is written सुवर्णं before a consonant. पीतम् keeps म् because अस्ति starts with a vowel. |
| रजतं श्वेतम् अस्ति। | Silver is white. चाँदी सेतो छ। रजतम् is written रजतं before a consonant. |
| पाषाणे शिलालेखः अस्ति। | An inscription is on the stone. The history sentence. |
| काष्ठेन पीठम् अस्ति। | A seat is there, by means of wood. काठले पीठ बनेको छ। काष्ठेन is “by wood, of wood” in the “with, by” case. |
| मणिः रत्नम् अस्ति। | A gem is a jewel. मणि रत्न हो। |
| मुक्ता श्वेता अस्ति। | The pearl is white. मोती सेतो छ। |
| मृत्तिकया घटः अस्ति। | A jar is there, by means of clay. माटोले घैंटो बनेको छ। मृत्तिकया is “by clay,” like छात्रया. |
| लोहं यन्त्रम् अस्ति। | The device is iron. फलामको यन्त्र हो। लोहम् is written लोहं before a consonant. |
