प्रेक्षकाणीन्द्रियाणि prekṣakāṇīndriyāṇi
The line
The senses are the spectators.
नेपालीमा
इन्द्रियहरू नै दर्शक हुन्।
Where it sits
Closes the picture. The dancer is the self, the stage is the inner self, the spectators are the senses. The world of the dance is this arrangement, not a second thing standing outside the three words.
Split: prekṣakāṇi (प्रेक्षकाणि) + indriyāṇi (इन्द्रियाणि)
Sanskrit, in depth
The words
| Word | Grammar | Sense |
|---|---|---|
| prekṣakāṇi (प्रेक्षकाणि) | nominative plural, neuter | the spectators. prekṣaka (प्रेक्षक) is one who looks on. |
| indriyāṇi (इन्द्रियाणि) | nominative plural, neuter | the senses. |
The phrases
Two plural nominatives, both neuter. The spectators are the senses.
Sanskrit in this line
prekṣakāṇi (प्रेक्षकाणि) plus indriyāṇi (इन्द्रियाणि) joins as prekṣakāṇīndriyāṇi (प्रेक्षकाणीन्द्रियाणि). Short i (इ) plus short i (इ) becomes long ī (ई).
Say it back
Undo the join. Say the three lines 3.9, 3.10, and 3.11 as one picture.
