The Kaṭha (कठ)

sūryo yathā sarvalokasya cakṣur na lipyate cākṣuṣair bāhyadoṣaiḥ |
ekas tathā sarvabhūtāntarātmā na lipyate lokaduḥkhena bāhyaḥ

The line

As the sun, the eye of all the world, is not smeared by the outer faults of eyes, so the one inner self of all beings is not smeared by the suffering of the world, being outside it.

Where it sits

Na karma lipyate nare (न कर्म लिप्यते नरे) in Īśā (ईशा) 2 is this verb. Here the thing not smeared is the inner self, and the smear would have been the world's suffering.

Split: sūryaḥ yathā (सूर्यः यथा) + sarva-lokasya cakṣuḥ (सर्व-लोकस्य चक्षुः) + na lipyate (न लिप्यते) + cākṣuṣaiḥ bāhya-doṣaiḥ (चाक्षुषैः बाह्य-दोषैः) + ekaḥ tathā (एकः तथा) + sarva-bhūta-antarātmā (सर्व-भूत-अन्तरात्मा) + na lipyate loka-duḥkhena (न लिप्यते लोक-दुःखेन) + bāhyaḥ (बाह्यः)
