Vijñāna Bhairava (विज्ञान भैरव)

श्रुतं देव मया सर्वं रुद्रयामलसम्भवम् ।
त्रिकभेदमशेषेण सारात् सारविभागशः
śrutaṃ deva mayā sarvaṃ rudrayāmalasambhavam |
trikabhedam aśeṣeṇa sārāt sāravibhāgaśaḥ

The line

O god, I have heard the whole that arises from the Rudrayāmala (रुद्रयामल), the divisions of the Trika (त्रिक) with nothing left out, essence by essence.

नेपालीमा

हे देव, मैले रुद्रयामलबाट आएको सबै सुनेकी छु। त्रिकका भेद बाँकी नराखी, सारअनुसार सुनेकी छु।

Where it sits

The Goddess speaks. śrī devy uvāca (श्री देव्युवाच) stands before the verse and has no number. The book opens on her report of what she has already heard.

Split: śrutam (श्रुतम्) + deva (देव) + mayā (मया) + sarvam (सर्वम्) + rudrayāmalasambhavam (रुद्रयामलसम्भवम्) + trikabhedam (त्रिकभेदम्) + aśeṣeṇa (अशेषेण) + sārāt (सारात्) + sāravibhāgaśaḥ (सारविभागशः)

The phrases

The Goddess is the speaker. mayā (मया) with śrutam (श्रुतम्) is the passive: it has been heard by me. sarvam (सर्वम्), rudrayāmalasambhavam (रुद्रयामलसम्भवम्), and trikabhedam (त्रिकभेदम्) are the thing heard.

Sanskrit in this line

śrutam (श्रुतम्) before d (द्) keeps the anusvāra (अनुस्वार). sārāt sāra (सारात् सार) repeats the essence: the ablative names the source, and śas (श) names the piece by piece.
