अनन्यचेतसः पुंसः पुम्भावः परमो भवेत्
evam eva jagat sarvaṃ dagdhaṃ dhyātvā vikalpataḥ |
ananyacetasaḥ puṃsaḥ pumbhāvaḥ paramo bhavet

The line

Just so, having meditated the whole world as burned, by means of constructing, for a person whose mind is on nothing else, the state of a person would become supreme.

नेपालीमा

यसै गरी सारा जगत् जलेको ध्यान गरेर, विकल्पबाट, अर्कोतिर मन नलगेका पुरुषको पुरुषभाव परम हुन्छ।

Where it sits

The verse names the burning as a vikalpa (विकल्प). That is the verse's account of what kind of act the meditation is.

Split: evam (एवम्) + eva (एव) + jagat (जगत्) + sarvam (सर्वम्) + dagdham (दग्धम्) + dhyātvā (ध्यात्वा) + vikalpataḥ (विकल्पतः) + ananyacetasaḥ (अनन्यचेतसः) + puṃsaḥ (पुंसः) + pumbhāvaḥ (पुम्भावः) + paramaḥ (परमः) + bhavet (भवेत्)

The phrases

evam eva (एवमेव) points back to the burned city. The world is meditated as burned, and the verse itself says vikalpataḥ (विकल्पतः): by constructing. For that person, personhood becomes supreme.

Sanskrit in this line

vikalpataḥ (विकल्पतः) is vikalpa (विकल्प) plus tas (त). The suffix names the source or the manner.
