Sāṅkhya Kārikā / Verses 22–55, the world / 49
एकादशेन्द्रियवधाः सह बुद्धिवधैः अशक्तिरुद्दिष्टा सप्तदश वधा बुद्धेर् विपर्ययात् तुष्टिसिद्धीनाम्
ekādaśendriyavadhāḥ saha buddhivadhaiḥ aśaktir uddiṣṭā saptadaśa vadhā buddher viparyayāt tuṣṭisiddhīnām
The line
Incapacity is the injuries of the eleven senses along with injuries of intellect. Intellect's injuries are seventeen, from the failing of contentment and of success.
नेपालीमा
अशक्ति एघार इन्द्रियको चोट हो, बुद्धिको चोटसँगै। बुद्धिका सत्र चोट सन्तोष र सिद्धिको असफलताबाट आउँछन्।
Where it sits
A broken ear and a missed success are both aśakti (अशक्ति). One is an organ. The other is intellect not arriving at a tuṣṭi (तुष्टि) or a siddhi (सिद्धि). Verse 50 and 51 say what those arrivals would have been.
Split: ekādaśa-indriya-vadhāḥ (एकादश-इन्द्रिय-वधाः) + saha (सह) + buddhi-vadhaiḥ (बुद्धि-वधैः) + aśaktiḥ (अशक्तिः) + uddiṣṭā (उद्दिष्टा) + sapta-daśa (सप्त-दश) + vadhāḥ (वधाः) + buddheḥ (बुद्धेः) + viparyayāt (विपर्ययात्) + tuṣṭi-siddhīnām (तुष्टि-सिद्धीनाम्)
