Where it sits

Recaka (रेचक) is emptying, pūraka (पूरक) filling, kumbhaka (कुम्भक) the holding. Sahita (सहित) is the hold accompanied by the other two. Kevala (केवल) is the hold alone, taught at 2.72. Yoga Sūtra (सूत्र) 2.50 divides the cutting into external, internal, and suspended, and 2.51 names a fourth beyond those measures. That division and this one can be read beside each other.
