Where it sits
The reading is dṛḍhe (दृढे), firm. Yoga Sūtra (सूत्र) 2.49 defines prāṇāyāma (प्राणायाम) as the cutting of the movement of inhalation and exhalation, once the seat of 2.46 is there. This verse begins that practice. The eight named holds are 2.44.
Split: athāsane (अथासने) dṛḍhe (दृढे) yogī (योगी) vaśī (वशी) hita (हित) + mitāśanaḥ (मिताशनः) / gurūpadiṣṭa (गुरूपदिष्ट) + mārgeṇa (मार्गेण) prāṇāyāmān (प्राणायामान्) samabhyaset (समभ्यसेत्)
