नेपालीमा
ह, अनि चिन्ह ल्। हल् सबै व्यञ्जन हो। अल् पूरै वर्णमाला हो।
Where it sits
The list states ha (ह) twice. Both are the sound ha (ह). The second one gives hal (हल्) and al (अल्) a place to end. The beats are finished. Joining those letters in a sentence is lesson 22. The course that uses them is Learn Sanskrit.
Split: ha (ह) + l (ल्)
Sanskrit, in depth
The words
| Word | Grammar | Sense |
|---|---|---|
| ha (ह) | consonant | the consonant ha (ह), stated a second time. The first ha (ह) is in 5. |
| l (ल्) | it marker | the last marker. Names that end here drop this l (ल्). |
The phrases
A name begins at the first time its opening letter appears. hal (हल्) begins at the ha (ह) of 5 and stops before this l (ल्), so hal (हल्) is every consonant. al (अल्) begins at the a (अ) of 1 and stops before this same l (ल्), so al (अल्) is the whole list.
Sanskrit in this line
The marker l (ल्) is a halant. It is not the letter la (ल) of 6. hal (हल्) does not contain that marker, and it does contain the ha (ह) of beat 5 and the letters between that ha (ह) and this marker.
Say it back
Say where hal (हल्) starts, where al (अल्) starts, and which marker both of them stop before.
