Lesson 19: Commands
Index · Lesson 18: The Past · Lesson 20: The Dual
Lesson 1 already has the command हे छात्र, आगच्छ। “Come.” आगच्छ is आ, “here,” on the front of गच्छ, “go.” This lesson is that command for the verbs already in the book.
A friend, the तिमी level, gets the short form: गच्छ, “go.” A teacher gets the “he” form: गच्छतु. भवान् गच्छतु। “Please go.” That matches the present, where भवान् takes गच्छति.
The forms
| You, तिमी | He, she, or तपाईं | You all, तिमीहरू | They, or तपाईंहरू | |
