Sentence	Meaning
गायकः गीतं गायति।	The singer sings a song. गायक गीत गाउँछ। गायति means “he sings.” गीतम् is written गीतं before a consonant.
वीणा गृहे अस्ति।	A veena is in the house. वीणा घरमा छ।
वेणुना सः गायति।	He sings with a flute. ऊ बाँसुरीसँग गाउँछ। वेणुना is “with the flute,” like गुरुणा.
मृदङ्गः तालेन सह अस्ति।	The drum is with the beat. मादल तालसँग छ। तालेन is “with the beat.”
डमरुः शिवस्य वाद्यम् अस्ति।	The damaru is Shiva’s instrument. डमरु शिवको बाजा हो।
रात्रौ रागः अस्ति।	At night there is a raga. राति राग हुन्छ।
तन्त्री वीणायाम् अस्ति।	A string is on the veena. तार वीणामा छ। वीणायाम् keeps म् because अस्ति starts with a vowel.
