Vijñāna Bhairava / Verses 111–138 (उपदेश) / 125

Vijñāna Bhairava (विज्ञान भैरव)
brahmaṇaḥ paripūrṇatvād iti jñātvā sukhī bhavet
The line
The same toward an enemy and toward a friend, the same in honor and in dishonor, because brahman (ब्रह्मन्) is completely full. Having known thus, one would become joyful.
Where it sits
The reason is brahman (ब्रह्मन्)'s fullness, not a balancing of the pairs. The pairs are where the sameness shows.
Split: samaḥ (समः) + śatrau (शत्रौ) + ca (च) + mitre (मित्रे) + ca (च) + samaḥ (समः) + mānāvamānayoḥ (मानावमानयोः) + brahmaṇaḥ (ब्रह्मणः) + paripūrṇatvāt (परिपूर्णत्वात्) + iti (इति) + jñātvā (ज्ञात्वा) + sukhī (सुखी) + bhavet (भवेत्)
