Where it sits

The second inner limb. 3.3 will say what happens when even that idea thins to the object alone. The three are a sequence, not three hobbies.

Split: tatra (तत्र) + pratyaya (प्रत्यय) + ekatā (एकता) + ānatā (आनता) + dhyānam (ध्यानम्)

tatra (तत्र)indeclinablethere. In that holding.
pratyaya (प्रत्यय)steman idea, a presenting.
ekatā (एकता)stemone-ness.
ānatā (आनता)nominative singular, femininea stretching, being extended.
dhyānam (ध्यानम्)nominative singular, neutermeditation.

The phrases

There, in the holding, meditation is one idea stretched continuous. pratyaya (प्रत्यय) + ekatā (एकता) is a (अ) + e (ए) = ai (ऐ). ekatā (एकता) + ānatā (आनता) is ā (आ) + ā (आ) = ā (आ), which stays ā (आ). ekatānatā (एकतानता) agrees in sense with the stretching of a single idea. dhyānam (ध्यानम्) is the name.

Holding was the binding. Meditation is what the binding is like when the idea does not get replaced.

Sanskrit in this line

a (अ) + e (ए) = ai (ऐ), from 2.41. ā (आ) + ā (आ) does not become some new letter. Two long ā (आ)s are one long ā (आ). tatra (तत्र) points at the holding, anuvṛtti (अनुवृत्ति) of place.

Say it back

Say what is stretched, and that it is one. Then the name: dhyānam (ध्यानम्).
