The phrases

From that are born intuitive hearing, feeling, sight, taste, and smell. vedanā (वेदना) + ādarśa (आदर्श) is ā (आ) + ā (आ) = ā (आ). ādarśa (आदर्श) + āsvāda (आस्वाद) is a (अ) + ā (आ) = ā (आ). jāyante (जायन्ते) is a plural verb: they are born. The five are the subject.

These are born from the knowledge, not commanded by it. 3.37 will classify the birth.

Sanskrit in this line

A plural verb, jāyante (जायन्ते), “they are born.” The ending -nte (न्ते) is third person plural, middle. As with kṣīyate (क्षीयते) in 2.52, notice the verb and find its subject. The subject is the five, vārtāḥ (वार्ताः) and the stems before it. tataḥ (ततः) is the source.
