Haṭha (हठ) Yoga Pradīpikā (प्रदीपिका)

कपालकुहरे जिह्वा प्रविष्टा विपरीतगा ।
भ्रुवोरन्तर्गता दृष्टिर् मुद्रा भवति खेचरी
kapālakuhare jihvā praviṣṭā viparītagā |
bhruvor antargatā dṛṣṭir mudrā bhavati khecarī

The line

The tongue entered into the cavity of the skull, turned back, and the gaze gone inside between the brows: the mudrā (मुद्रा) becomes khecarī (खेचरी).

नेपालीमा

जिब्रो पछाडि फर्केर खप्परको कोटरभित्र पसेपछि र दृष्टि भौंको बीचभित्र गएपछि खेचरी मुद्रा हुन्छ।

Where it sits

Khe-carī (खे-चरी) is she who moves in the sky. The verses through 3.36 describe the lengthening of the tongue. They are glossed as the words say. The sitting adds no surgical advice.

Split: kapāla (कपाल) + kuhare (कुहरे) jihvā (जिह्वा) praviṣṭā (प्रविष्टा) viparītagā (विपरीतगा) / bhruvor (भ्रुवोर्) antargatā (अन्तर्गता) dṛṣṭir (दृष्टिर्) mudrā (मुद्रा) bhavati (भवति) khecarī (खेचरी)
