The consonants

Summary

Beats 5 to 14 are the consonants, from ha and the semivowels through the stops and the sibilants to the closing ha. hal is every consonant. al is the whole list, vowels and consonants. The second ha is restated so those two names can end. The marker ṭ (ट्) of beat 5 is not the alphabet's ṭa (ट), which comes in a later beat. The pages name a pratyāhāra (प्रत्याहार) only where the run is sure.
