Consciousness and the mind

Summary

Sūtras (सूत्र) 1 to 8 are consciousness and the mind. Citi is free and the cause of the appearing world. By her own will she descends and becomes the mind, contracted by the difference of knower and known. The coverings and the stations a commentary spells out are commentary. The sūtras (सूत्र) give the contraction. Sūtra (सूत्र) 5 meets Śiva (शिव) Sūtra (सूत्र) 3.1, where the self is the mind.

सूत्र १ देखि ८ चेतना र मन हुन्। चिति स्वतन्त्र छ र देखा पर्ने विश्वको कारण हो। आफ्नै इच्छाले चिति झरेर मन बन्छिन्, ज्ञाता र ज्ञेयको भिन्नताले खुम्चिएकी। टीकाले लेख्ने आवरण र स्थान टीका हुन्। सूत्रले खुम्चाइ बताउँछन्। सूत्र ५ शिवसूत्र ३.१ सँग भेटिन्छ, जहाँ आत्मा मन हो।
