इतिहासः means history, इतिहास. It is like छात्रः. पुराणम् means an old tale, the books called Purana. It is like पुस्तकम्. This page is the words for talking about the past, and a few names. It is not the story itself.

राजा is the subject form. One king is not राजाः. The other endings wait.
प्राचीनः means “ancient.” अर्वाचीनः means “later.” The sentences use प्राचीनः.

| अशोकस्य साम्राज्यं महत् आसीत्। | Ashoka’s empire was great. अशोकको साम्राज्य ठूलो थियो। साम्राज्यम् is written साम्राज्यं before a consonant. महत् is “great” beside a thing. The man-form महान् is on Qualities. |
| लुम्बिन्यां बुद्धः जातः। | The Buddha was born in Lumbini. The Land and Places sentence. |
| शिलालेखः पाषाणे अस्ति। | An inscription is on the stone. शिलालेख ढुङ्गामा छ। |
| युद्धात् शान्तिः अस्ति। | From war there is peace. युद्धबाट शान्ति हुन्छ। युद्धात् is “from war,” like छात्रात्. |
| लिच्छवेः कालः नेपाले आसीत्। | The Licchavi age was in Nepal. लिच्छविकाल नेपालमा थियो। |
