Lesson 41: It Is Done
Index · Lesson 40: The Middle · Lesson 42: While Reading
पठ्यते means “it is read.” The endings are the middle endings from Lesson 40: The Middle. The stem adds य. The person who does it, if you name him, stands in the with-form.
क्रियते means “it is done,” from कृ. दीयते means “it is given,” from दा. दृश्यते means “it is seen.” Say those three whole. They do not follow पठ्यते in the stem, only in the ending ते.
