आकाशः means the sky, आकाश. It is like छात्रः. मेघः is a cloud. वृष्टिः is rainfall, the water falling. The season called वर्षा, on Seasons, is the time of year. वृष्टिः is the rain itself.

विद्युत् means lightning. That is the subject form. It ends in त्. The other jobs wait. विद्युत् अस्ति। “There is lightning.”
उष्णः matches a noun, like a color. उष्णः दिनः would be a hot day, but दिनम् in this book is like पुस्तकम्, so a hot day is उष्णं दिनम्, written with ं before a consonant.

| आकाशः शुष्कः अस्ति। | The sky is clear of rain. Here शुष्कः means dry. आकाश सुक्खा छ। |
| गर्जनम् अस्ति। | There is thunder. गर्जन छ। गर्जनम् keeps म् because अस्ति starts with a vowel. |
