Sanskrit, in depth
The words
| Word | Grammar | Sense |
|---|---|---|
| bhūyaḥ (भूयः) | indeclinable | again. |
| syāt (स्यात्) | optative, third person singular | it would be, let it be. From as (अस्), to be. |
| pratimīlanam (प्रतिमीलनम्) | nominative singular, neuter | a closing again. mīlana (मीलन) is the closing of the eyes, a shutting. prati (प्रति) is back, in return, matching. |
The phrases
Again, there would be the closing. The optative is the mood of something that comes to be. Later Trika writing pairs mīlana (मीलन), the world closing into consciousness, with unmīlana (उन्मीलन), consciousness opening as the world. This line's word is pratimīlana (प्रतिमीलन), the closing that comes again.
Sanskrit in this line
bhūyaḥ (भूयः) keeps visarga before s (स्). syāt (स्यात्) is the optative, the same mood family as praviśet (प्रविशेत्) at 3.21. pratimīlanam (प्रतिमीलनम्) is a neuter nominative, the subject of syāt (स्यात्).
Say it back
