Vijñāna Bhairava / Verses 24–50 (उपदेश) / 42

Vijñāna Bhairava (विज्ञान भैरव)

पिण्डमन्त्रस्य सर्वस्य स्थूलवर्णक्रमेण तु ।
अर्धेन्दुबिन्दुनादान्तः शून्योच्चाराद् भवेच् छिवः
piṇḍamantrasya sarvasya sthūlavarṇakrameṇa tu |
ardhendubindunādāntaḥ śūnyoccārād bhavec chivaḥ

The line

Of every piṇḍa (पिण्ड) mantra, by the sequence of the gross letters, from the void utterance at the end of the half-moon, the bindu (बिन्दु), and nāda (नाद), one would become Śiva (शिव).

नेपालीमा

हरेक पिण्ड मन्त्रको स्थूल वर्णको क्रमले, अर्धेन्दु, बिन्दु र नादको अन्त्यको शून्य उच्चारणबाट शिव हुन्छ।

Where it sits

The electronic text prints a broken ṇ (ण्) in piṇḍa (पिण्ड). The stages half-moon, bindu (बिन्दु), and nāda (नाद) are the ones she asked about at 4 and he refused as Bhairava (भैरव)'s form at 12. Here they are the end of an utterance, and the void utterance is what the line uses.

Split: piṇḍamantrasya (पिण्डमन्त्रस्य) + sarvasya (सर्वस्य) + sthūlavarṇakrameṇa (स्थूलवर्णक्रमेण) + tu (तु) + ardhendubindunādāntaḥ (अर्धेन्दुबिन्दुनादान्तः) + śūnyoccārāt (शून्योच्चारात्) + bhavet (भवेत्) + śivaḥ (शिवः)
