स्थान्युपनिमन्त्रणे सङ्गस्मयाकरणं पुनरनिष्टप्रसङ्गात्
sthāny-upanimantraṇe saṅga-smayākaraṇaṃ punar aniṣṭa-prasaṅgāt
The line
When those established in a place invite you, do not attach and do not swell, because what is unwanted attaches again.
नेपालीमा
स्थानमा स्थापितहरूले बोलाएमा नटाँसिनुहोस् र गर्वले नफुल्नुहोस्, किनकि नचाहिएको कुरा फेरि टाँसिन्छ।
Where it sits
A practical line after the high doctrine. The powers have a social form: an invitation from those already established. Attachment or pride there restarts the unwanted. 3.52 returns to saṃyama (संयम), on the moment, as the knowledge born of discernment.
Split: sthānin (स्थानिन्) + upanimantraṇe (उपनिमन्त्रणे) + saṅga (सङ्ग) + smaya (स्मय) + akaraṇam (अकरणम्) + punaḥ (पुनः) + aniṣṭa (अनिष्ट) + prasaṅgāt (प्रसङ्गात्)
Sanskrit, in depth

The phrases
When those established in a place invite you, no attachment and no pride. sthānin (स्थानिन्) + upanimantraṇa (उपनिमन्त्रण) is recited sthāny-upanimantraṇe (स्थान्युपनिमन्त्रणे), i (इ) becoming y (य्). smaya (स्मय) + akaraṇa (अकरण) is a (अ) + a (अ) = ā (आ). The reason is the ablative: because what is unwanted attaches again.
punaḥ (पुनः) before the vowel is punar (पुनर्). The invitation is the test of 3.50. Dispassion is easy until something splendid asks you in.
Sanskrit in this line
i (इ) before a vowel becomes y (य्): sthāni (स्थानि) + upa (उप) is sthāny-upa (स्थान्युप). aḥ (अः) of punaḥ (पुनः) before a vowel becomes r (र्): punar (पुनर्). Both are the glide and the r (र्) you have seen. akaraṇam (अकरणम्) is a privative used as an instruction: the not-doing of attachment and pride.
Say it back
Say the two things not to do, and the because.
