पुरुषार्थशून्यानां गुणानां प्रतिप्रसवः कैवल्यं स्वरूपप्रतिष्ठा वा चितिशक्तिरिति
puruṣārtha-śūnyānāṃ guṇānāṃ pratiprasavaḥ kaivalyaṃ svarūpa-pratiṣṭhā vā citi-śaktir iti
The line
Aloneness is the resolving back of the guṇas (गुण), now empty of any purpose for puruṣa (पुरुष). Or it is the power of awareness, established in its own form.
नेपालीमा
कैवल्य पुरुषका लागि कुनै प्रयोजनबाट रित्त भएका गुणहरूको स्रोततिर फर्किनु हो। अथवा त्यो आफ्नै रूपमा स्थापित चैतन्यको शक्ति हो।
Where it sits
The last line. 1.2 said yoga is the stilling of the mind's activities. 1.3 said the seer then abides in its own form. 2.25 said release is the aloneness of the seeing. 3.55 said aloneness is the sameness of two purities. This line says it once more, in two wordings, and the word iti (इति) ends the teaching that 1.1 opened.
Split: puruṣa (पुरुष) + artha (अर्थ) + śūnyānām (शून्यानाम्) + guṇānām (गुणानाम्) + pratiprasavaḥ (प्रतिप्रसवः) + kaivalyam (कैवल्यम्) + svarūpa (स्वरूप) + pratiṣṭhā (प्रतिष्ठा) + vā (वा) + citi (चिति) + śaktiḥ (शक्तिः) + iti (इति)

The phrases
Aloneness is the resolving back of the guṇas (गुण), now empty of any purpose for puruṣa (पुरुष). puruṣa (पुरुष) + artha (अर्थ) is a (अ) + a (अ) = ā (आ). The two genitives name whose resolving: the guṇas (गुण), empty of purpose. pratiprasavaḥ (प्रतिप्रसवः) and kaivalyam (कैवल्यम्) are the two nominatives of the first wording.
Or, vā (वा), aloneness is the power of awareness, established in its own form. citi-śaktiḥ (चितिशक्तिः) is feminine, pratiṣṭhā (प्रतिष्ठा) agrees with it. śaktiḥ iti (शक्तिः इति) is recited śaktir iti (शक्तिरिति). The book offers both wordings and stops. iti (इति) is the close.
The first wording looks at the guṇas (गुण) going home. The second looks at awareness standing in itself, which is where 1.3 began: the seer abiding in its own form. The last line and the third line meet.
Sanskrit in this line
vā (वा) offers a second wording, not a contradiction. iti (इति) closes the book. ḥ (ः) before a vowel is r (र्): śaktir iti (शक्तिरिति). Genitive plural -ānām (आनाम्) twice, for the guṇas (गुण) characterized as empty. pratiprasava (प्रतिप्रसव) is the same resolving back that 2.10 used for the subtle afflictions. Here the guṇas (गुण) themselves resolve.
Say it back
Say both wordings, and the iti (इति). Then say 1.3 again. The seer, in its own form.
