Lesson 30: Small Words has यदि सः पठति तदा अहम् अपि पठामि, a real condition in the present. Lesson 46: He Might Read has पठेत्. Together they make a condition that is not yet a fact.

यदि सः पठेत् तदा अहम् अपि पठेयम्। “If he should read, I would read too.”

तुष्येयम्, “I would be glad,” follows पठेयम्. आगच्छेत् follows गच्छेत्, which follows पठेत्. The आ stays on the front.

SentenceMeaning
यदि सः पठेत् तदा अहम् अपि पठेयम्।If he should read, I would read too. यदि ऊ पढ्थ्यो भने म पनि पढ्थेँ।
यदि गुरुः आगच्छेत् तदा अहं तुष्येयम्।If the teacher should come, I would be glad.
यदि त्वं कुर्याः तदा अहं तुष्येयम्।If you should do it, I would be glad.
यदि वयं गच्छेम तदा ते अपि गच्छेयुः।If we should go, they would go too.
