Months
मासः means month, महिना. It is like छात्रः. These twelve are the lunar months. Each one is also like छात्रः.
Nepal’s year starts on the first day of वैशाख. The list here starts there. चैत्र comes last in this list, and it is the other start: older lists begin the year at चैत्र. Both orders name the same twelve.
The English months are only a rough place on the solar calendar. A lunar month moves.

भाद्रः is the short name of भाद्रपदः. Same endings.
मार्गः in the word list means “road,” बाटो. The month is मार्गशीर्षः. This book does not use मार्गः for the month.
The seasons are Seasons. Two months sit in each season. वैशाख is the second month of वसन्तः. चैत्र is the first.
