तत्र निरतिशयं सर्वज्ञबीजम्

tatra niratiśayaṃ sarvajña-bījam

The line

In Īśvara (ईश्वर) the seed of knowing everything is unsurpassed.

नेपालीमा

ईश्वरमा सबै जान्ने बीज अनुपम हुन्छ।

Where it sits

1.24 said Īśvara (ईश्वर) is untouched. This line says what is unsurpassed in that puruṣa (पुरुष): not power first, but the seed of knowing. 1.26 will draw the consequence for teaching.

Split: tatra (तत्र) + niratiśayam (निरतिशयम्) + sarvajña (सर्वज्ञ) + bījam (बीजम्)

The words

tatra (तत्र)indeclinablein that one. In Īśvara (ईश्वर), from 1.24.
niratiśayam (निरतिशयम्)nominative singular, neuterunsurpassed. Nothing goes beyond it.
sarvajña (सर्वज्ञ)stemall-knowing.
bījam (बीजम्)nominative singular, neuterthe seed. The seed of knowing everything.

The phrases

tatra (तत्र) points back. The line does not rename Īśvara (ईश्वर). sarvajña-bījam (सर्वज्ञबीजम्) is the subject, nominative neuter: the seed of omniscience. niratiśayam (निरतिशयम्) agrees with it. In Īśvara (ईश्वर) that seed is unsurpassed.

Sanskrit in this line

No new ending. Neuter nominative -am (अम्) is the same ending as cittam (चित्तम्) and anuśāsanam (अनुशासनम्). tatra (तत्र) is anuvṛtti (अनुवृत्ति), a pointer, the same job it had in 1.13 when it meant “of those two.” Here it means “in that Īśvara (ईश्वर).”

Say it back

Say what is unsurpassed, and where: tatra (तत्र), then sarvajña-bījam (सर्वज्ञबीजम्).
