The line

And because the text states object and agent, the embodied soul is not the one described.

Where it sits

śārīraḥ (शारीरः) from 1.2.3 is still the one excluded. The agent is the meditator. The object is the brahman (ब्रह्मन्) of 1.2.1.

The phrases

karma (कर्म) here is the grammatical object, the thing done or reached. kartṛ (कर्तृ) is the agent. The passage says he should form the resolve, and says he will reach this after death. The one who resolves and the one reached are both named.

If the being in the heart were simply the embodied soul, agent and object would collapse. The statement of both is a difference. ca adds it to the unfitness of śārīra (शारीर).

Sanskrit in this line

kartṛ (कर्तृ) in a compound appears as kartṛ (कर्तृ), and before vyapadeśa (व्यपदेश) the ṛ (ऋ) stays. The whole is one ablative. Before ca, t is heard as c.

Say it back

Say who the kartṛ (कर्तृ) is and who the karman is in Śāṇḍilya (शाण्डिल्य)'s sentence.
