Adhyāya 3

Summary

Adhyāya (अध्याय) 3 is sādhana (साधन), the means. Who is fit, what is meditated on, and the soul's path are the questions. The qualities the tradition expected in a student are named in the introduction. The sūtras (सूत्र) themselves decide particular meditations and the going that follows death. The fruit is the next book.
