prakaraṇāt (प्रकरणात्)ablative singular, neuterbecause of the context

The phrases

The Muṇḍaka (मुण्डक) has already divided a lower knowledge and a higher. The higher is that by which the imperishable is known. This verse sits in the higher.

prakaraṇa (प्रकरण) is that context. A verse inside it is not suddenly about the pradhāna (प्रधान). The ablative is the reason, the subject still the abode.

Sanskrit in this line

prakaraṇa (प्रकरण) is neuter, ablative -āt (-आत्). One word.
