Free tools we actually use. Pedagogy here is drafted from Berklee, Hal Leonard, and classical method books — always two-source checked. Justin Guitar is a topic checklist only.

Guitar methods (check, don’t copy)

  • Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1 — open chords, downstrokes, capo

Singing practice — same Sa drone as the bar on every guitar page.

Teaching with this room

Each practice page has a Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced card. Assign one track, hear it back, then move. Kids stay on the Kids path until four downs are honest. Advanced here means tightness, sevenths, movable barre, reading at tempo, and the pima method on Classical drills — not jazz or CAGED.

  • Beginner — 4-week plan on Foundations.
  • Intermediate — Month 2, sevenths, 12-bar, folk bass-strum; Exercises 10-minute routine.
  • Advanced — Month 3, barre I–IV–V, 2-beat changes, start/stop silence.

Theory, picking, and the gym

Scale and mode labs live on Scales and Modes; compact technique labs stay on Exercises.
