संख्यैकान्तासिद्धिः, कारणानुपपत्त्युपपत्तिभ्याम्

saṃkhyaikāntāsiddhiḥ, kāraṇānupapattyupapattibhyām

The line

A compound: saṃkhya (संख्य), ikāntā (इकान्ता), and established, by means of kāraṇānupapattyupapatta (कारणानुपपत्त्युपपत्त).

Where it sits

In Nyāya (न्याय) Sūtra (सूत्र), adhyāya (अध्याय) 4. Examines action, fault, rebirth, fruit, pain, and release, and then the whole and the part. The line is short. vyāhata-tvāda-yuktam (व्याहत-त्वाद-युक्तम्) from 4.1.40 is still in force. A sūtra (सूत्र) leaves a word out when the line before still holds it. That carrying is anuvṛtti (अनुवृत्ति).

Split: saṃkhya-ikāntā-siddhiḥ (संख्य-इकान्ता-सिद्धिः) + kāraṇānupapattyupapattibhyām (कारणानुपपत्त्युपपत्तिभ्याम्)
