Nāṭyaśāstra (नाट्यशास्त्र), rasa
ऋतुमाल्यालङ्कारैः प्रियजनगान्धर्वकाव्यसेवाभिः ।
उपवनगमनविहारैः शृङ्गाररसः समुद्भवति ṛtumālyālaṅkāraiḥ priyajanagāndharvakāvyasevābhiḥ |
upavanagamanavihāraiḥ śṛṅgārarasaḥ samudbhavati
The line
By season, garland, and ornament, by attendance on the beloved, on song, and on poetry, by going to a garden and by play, the erotic rasa (रस) arises.
