Consciousness, and the world that is its power

The three means

Kṣemarāja (क्षेमराज) names the three awakenings Śāmbhavopāya (शाम्भवोपाय), Śāktopāya (शाक्तोपाय), and Āṇavopāya (आणवोपाय): the means of Śambhu (शम्भु), the means of Śakti (शक्ति), and the means of the limited one. Those names belong to the commentary. A sitting names the commentary where a line leaves a word for it. The sitting remains the sūtra (सूत्र).

The Vijñāna Bhairava (विज्ञान भैरव) is the next book. Bhairava (भैरव) answers the Goddess there, in 162 verses, and verse 139 of that book counts the teachings as one hundred and twelve. The Spanda Kārikā (स्पन्द कारिका) and the Pratyabhijñā (प्रत्यभिज्ञा) books of Utpaladeva and Abhinavagupta come after these lines in the tradition. They read the same consciousness as a pulse, spanda (स्पन्द), and as recognition, pratyabhijñā (प्रत्यभिज्ञा). This book is the seventy-seven. The word these lines give for the rising is udyama (उद्यम), at 1.5.

The Advaita pages and the Buddhist pages are the other non-dual books on this shelf. This book is Trika.
