the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā (अष्टावक्र गीता)

bhāvasya bhāvakaḥ kaścin na kiñcid bhāvakoparaḥ | ubhayābhāvakaḥ kaścid एvam eva nirākulaḥ

The line

Someone is the producer of a state. Another is not the producer of anything. Someone is the producer of neither. Just so, he is untroubled.

नेपालीमा

कोही भावको भावक हुन्छ। अर्को केहीको भावक हुँदैन। कोही दुवैको अभावक हुन्छ। यसरी नै ऊ निराकुल हुन्छ।

Where it sits

Astavakra is still speaking. Three kinds of producer are named, and the untroubled one is the third.

Split: bhāvasya (भावस्य) + bhāvakaḥ (भावकः) + kaścit (कश्चित्) + na (न) + kiñcit (किञ्चित्) + bhāvakaḥ (भावकः) + aparaḥ (अपरः) + ubhayābhāvakaḥ (उभयाभावकः) + kaścit (कश्चित्) + evam (एवम्) + eva (एव) + nirākulaḥ (निराकुलः)

The phrases

Three kaścit (कश्चित्) clauses. The first is bhāvakaḥ (भावकः) of bhāvasya (भावस्य). The second is na kiñcit bhāvakaḥ (न किञ्चित् भावकः), and aparaḥ (अपरः) marks the other person. The third is ubhayābhāvakaḥ (उभयाभावकः). evam eva (एवमेव) carries that last one to nirākulaḥ (निराकुलः).

Sanskrit in this line

kaścit (कश्चित्) plus na is kaścin (कश्चिन्). kiñcit (किञ्चित्) plus bhāvakaḥ (भावकः) is kiñcid (किञ्चिद्). bhāvakaḥ (भावकः) plus aparaḥ (अपरः) is printed bhāvakoparaḥ (भावकोपरः), the short a dropped and no avagraha. The second kaścit (कश्चित्) is printed with a space before evam, so the halant of d stays and eva begins as its own syllable. ubhaya plus abhāvakaḥ (अभावकः) is ubhayābhāvakaḥ (उभयाभावकः).
