The line

Where is there, and where is there not, where the one, and where the pair, and what is there by much said here? Nothing of me rises.

नेपालीमा

छ भन्ने कहाँ, छैन भन्ने कहाँ, एक कहाँ छ, दुई कहाँ छ? यहाँ धेरै भनेर के हुन्छ? ममा केही उठ्दैन।

Where it sits

Janaka is still speaking. The last line of the chapter leaves nothing of him rising.

The phrases

The first two asti (अस्ति) have no noun. The third asti (अस्ति) takes ekam (एकम्), and dvayam (द्वयम्) is a further nominative with that verb. bahunā (बहुना) and uktena (उक्तेन) are instrumentals with kim (किम्). kiñcit (किञ्चित्) is the subject of uttiṣṭhate (उत्तिष्ठते), negated by na (न), and mama (मम) is whose it is.

Sanskrit in this line

cāsti (चास्ति), nāsti (नास्ति), and kvāsti (क्वास्ति) write the three joins of asti. bahunā (बहुना) plus atra is bahunātra (बहुनात्र). kiñcit (किञ्चित्) before na is kiñcin (किञ्चिन्), and na plus uttiṣṭhate (उत्तिष्ठते) is nottiṣṭhate (नोत्तिष्ठते).
