Where it sits
The chapter's own count is eight. Śānta (शान्त) is not in this verse. The bracketed lines after 6.82 name a ninth, and 6.83 says eight again. Both sentences stay.
Split: śṛṅgāra (शृङ्गार) + hāsya (हास्य) + karuṇā (करुणा) raudra (रौद्र) + vīra (वीर) + bhayānakāḥ (भयानकाः) / bībhatsādbhuta (बीभत्साद्भुत) + saṃjñau (संज्ञौ) cetyaṣṭau (चेत्यष्टौ) nāṭye (नाट्ये) rasāḥ (रसाः) smṛtāḥ (स्मृताः)
