The line
The man who from delusion does not know the wanted or the unwanted, pleasure or pain: silent, gone under another's power, he is designated torpid.
Where it sits
Jaḍatā (जडता). The prose says it is the failure to answer any task, from hearing or seeing the wanted and the unwanted, and from sickness. Silence and a gaze that does not blink are its acting.
