In 11.55, what is mat-karma-kṛt (मत्-कर्म-कृत्), and what does eti (एति) say of that man?
Answer
Nominative. He does my work. kṛt (कृत्) at the end of the compound is the doer. He stands with mat-paramaḥ (मत्-परमः), mat-bhaktaḥ (मत्-भक्तः), saṅga-varjitaḥ (सङ्ग-वर्जितः), and nir-vairaḥ (निर्-वैरः). yaḥ (यः) is that man. सः माम् एति saḥ mām eti: he comes to me.

3
What does 11.55 say, in one sentence?
Answer
Who does my work, holds me as the highest, is devoted to me, is free of attachment, and is without enmity toward all beings, he comes to me.
4
Where do 11.47–11.55 sit in the talk between Arjuna (अर्जुन) and Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण)?
Answer
The vision is withdrawn. Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) says this supreme form was shown by him, pleased, through his own yoga, and that no one other than Arjuna (अर्जुन) has seen it. Not by study of the Veda and of sacrifice, not by gifts, not by rites, and not by fierce austerity. Let the distress and the bewilderment go. See the familiar form. Sañjaya (सञ्जय) says he shows his own form again and becomes a gentle body, and comforts the frightened man. Arjuna (अर्जुन) says that, having seen the gentle human form, he is restored to himself. Even the gods are always desirous of that sight. The way is undivided devotion: to know, to see, and to enter. Who does his work, holds him as the highest, is devoted, is free of attachment, and is without enmity toward all beings, comes to him.
5
Say 11.55. Which failure shows the devotion was kept and the work and the freedom from attachment were dropped?
Answer
If mat-bhaktaḥ (मत्-भक्तः) is offered alone, stay here.
