9.22

अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां
ये जनाः पर्युपासते ।
तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां
योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम् ॥

ananyāś cintayanto māṃ ye janāḥ paryupāsate
teṣāṃ nityābhiyuktānāṃ yogakṣemaṃ vahāmy aham

Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) is still speaking to Arjuna (अर्जुन). The eight-syllable line is back.

The verse

People who worship me, thinking of no other — of them, always yoked, I carry the getting and the keeping.

नेपालीमा

अरू कसैको चिन्तन नगरी मलाई पुज्ने, सधैँ युक्त भएका ती मानिसहरूको पाउने र जोगाउने कुरा म बोक्छु।

Where it sits

9.20 and 9.21 were the worship that wins heaven and then loses it. This is the worship with no second thought, and the thing he does for it: he carries what they need to gain and what they need to keep.

Sanskrit in this line

अनन्याः + चिन्तयन्तः ananyāḥ + cintayantaḥ is recited ananyāś cintayantaḥ (अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तः). āḥ (आः) before the voiceless c (च्) becomes āś (आश्), the same shift pāṇḍavāḥ ca (पाण्डवाः च) made in 1.1. cintayantaḥ (चिन्तयन्तः) before mām (माम्) is cintayanto (चिन्तयन्तो).

Say it back

Cover the English. Say what he carries, and the verb he uses. If vahāmi (वहामि) comes out as "they carry it themselves," stay here.
