मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो
मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु ।
मामेवैष्यसि युक्त्वैवम्
आत्मानं मत्परायणः ॥
manmanā bhava madbhakto madyājī māṃ namaskuru
mām evaiṣyasi yuktvaivam ātmānaṃ matparāyaṇaḥ
Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) is still speaking to Arjuna (अर्जुन). This is the last verse of the chapter.
The verse
Be one whose mind is in me, my devotee, my sacrificer; bow to me; having thus yoked yourself, with me as your final resort, you will come to me alone.
Where it sits
The king of knowings ends as four things to do and one future. Set the mind on him, be devoted, sacrifice, bow. The leaf, the whole of a day's acts, the sameness, the bad conduct, the promise, and the births all come to this command. Arjuna (अर्जुन) has not spoken in this chapter. The last word is the command, and the coming.

The phrases
mat-manāḥ bhava (मत्-मनाः भव) is the first command. Be one whose mind is in him. mat-bhaktaḥ (मत्-भक्तः) and mat-yājī (मत्-याजी) take the same verb: be my devotee, be my sacrificer. māṃ namas-kuru (मां नमस्-कुरु) is the bow, its own imperative.
माम् एव एष्यसि mām eva eṣyasi is the future on the far side of the commands. You will come to him alone. युक्त्वा एवम् आत्मानम् yuktvā evam ātmānam is how: having yoked the self in this way. mat-parāyaṇaḥ (मत्-परायणः) is the nominative that describes that you, the one for whom he is the last resort.
Sanskrit in this line
mat (मत्), "me" inside a compound, meets three consonants in this verse and changes differently each time. Before m (म्) it becomes n (न्): mat-manāḥ (मत्-मनाः) is manmanāḥ (मन्मनाः). Before bh (भ्) it becomes d (द्): mat-bhaktaḥ (मत्-भक्तः) is madbhaktaḥ (मद्भक्तः). Before y (य्) it becomes d (द्) as well: mat-yājī (मत्-याजी) is madyājī (मद्याजी), the same त् + य् t + y as madyājinaḥ (मद्याजिनः) in 9.25.
Say it back
Cover the English. Say the four commands, then the coming. If namas-kuru (नमस्-कुरु) drops, stay here.
