15.15
sarvasya cāhaṃ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanañ ca
vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo vedāntakṛd vedavid eva cāham
Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) continues, in eleven-syllable quarters, and the seat of the whole claim is the heart. Meter: triṣṭubh (त्रिष्टुभ्). Four quarters, eleven syllables each, forty-four in the verse.
The verse
And I am seated in the heart of all; from me come memory, knowledge, and their loss; I alone am what is to be known by all the Vedas, the maker of the Veda's end and the knower of the Veda.
Where it sits
Light, earth, moon, and the fire in the body gather here. The seat is the heart of every one. Memory and knowledge come from him, and so does the loss of them. The person who was told in 15.1 that knowing the tree makes a knower of the Veda now hears who the knower is, and what the Veda is to know.

The phrases
sarvasya ca aham hṛdi sanniviṣṭaḥ (सर्वस्य च अहम् हृदि सन्निविष्टः) places him. And I am seated in the heart of all. च + अहम् ca + aham is cāham (चाहम्). sanniviṣṭaḥ (सन्निविष्टः) before m (म्) is sanniviṣṭo (सन्निविष्टो).
मत्तः स्मृतिः ज्ञानम् अपोहनम् च mattaḥ smṛtiḥ jñānam apohanam ca is what comes from that seat. From me, memory, knowledge, and their taking away. स्मृतिः + ज्ञानम् smṛtiḥ + jñānam is smṛtir jñānam (स्मृतिर्ज्ञानम्). अपोहनम् + च apohanam + ca is apohanañ ca (अपोहनञ्च).
वेदैः च सर्वैः अहम् एव वेद्यः vedaiḥ ca sarvaiḥ aham eva vedyaḥ is what the Vedas are for. By all the Vedas I alone am what is to be known. वेदैः + च vedaiḥ + ca is vedaiś ca (वेदैश् च). सर्वैः + अहम् sarvaiḥ + aham is सर्वैर् अहम् sarvair aham. वेद्यः before the next word is vedyo (वेद्यो).
वेदान्तकृत् वेदवित् एव च अहम् vedāntakṛt vedavit eva ca aham closes on two names. I am the maker of the Veda's end, and the knower of the Veda. वेदान्तकृत् + वेदवित् vedāntakṛt + vedavit is vedāntakṛd vedavit (वेदान्तकृद्वेदवित्), t (त्) before v (व्) becoming d (द्), and वेदवित् + एव vedavit + eva is vedavid eva (वेदविदेव). The vedavit (वेदवित्) of 15.1, the one who knows the tree, is answered by this "I."
Sanskrit in this line
अपोहनम् + च apohanam + ca is recited apohanañ ca (अपोहनञ्च). m (म्) before c (च्) is written as the palatal nasal ñ (ञ्), the nasal of the same class as c (च्). The word is still apohanam (अपोहनम्). ñca (ञ्च) is that joint, and the sense stays "the taking away."
Say it back
Where he sits, and the three things that come from him. If apohanam (अपोहनम्) is dropped, memory and knowledge have no loss. Stay here.
